  • February 13, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Let's hike up Prairie Mountain the night before Full Moon ( and Valentine's Day and during Teacher's Convention ) ! Headlamps and icers required! 7kms with 700 meters of elevation gain under a hopefully starry night. If you want to carpool, please organize with each other. I will meet everyone at the trailhead ( winter gates ). Please be fit enough to complete the hike.

I'll have trip waivers at the Trailhead for everyone to sign!

Just an FYI... Please don't arrive at the trailhead without icers and a headlamp... You will be turned away.

    Hi Everyone,

It is really great that everyone is getting organized for the hike! Yes, the hike is 7kms in total with 700m of elevation gain and as Mike said so eloquently.....the hike is a leg burner! Jessica has offered to lead the pack and I'll be the sweep at the end of the pack. There's no hurry to get to the top! Its always windy and cold up there anyway. We'll stay a while and look at the stars though so again, bring extra warm layers, extra headlamp batteries, icers, a thermos of tea and some food and your joyful spirits!!!!

Hi Everyone....still hoping for a clear and starry night. So, if you can drive and take a passenger or two, please post that and the area of the city in which you live and those that need a lift contact you.

Dont forget extra layers for the top as it is always windy up there! Extra batteries for your headlamp are a must as well.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
