This trip will see us travelling along a well defined trail through forested terrain until we reach the ridge. From here we will follow it to the Summit while being entertained by the sights of different mountain peaks and Prairies alike.

Event Duration: 5-7 hours on trail + 2 hrs driving
Difficulty Rating: Moderate Day trip ( we will travel at a steady pace, NOT SLOW)
Distance: 12-13 km
Location: Near Sibbald Flat
Equipment required: Personal First Aid Kit, Micro-spikes, hiking boots, mitts/gloves, toque, gaiters, hiking poles, sunglasses layered clothing, wind/water resistant jacket, headlamp, plenty of food and water.
Event Directions: We will drive West along Hwy 1 to Hwy 68 (Sibbald Trail) and turn South till junction of Powder Face Trail. Follow it for 3 km to the start point which is Dawson Recreation Area.
Gas Money: $15.00 per person.

Your Hosts are volunteers and not trained guides.
All participants are responsible for assessing the current road, weather, own physical, and avalanche conditions for the trip and you are responsible for your safety and well-being. You are fully prepared with proper gear and you're physically fit to do this hike with the group.
