CBGB @ the Nick!

Hey everyone! I'm new to this group, but following on Brian's previous email am happy to throw out a couple suggestions in the coming weeks and see how it goes!

Did you know that CBGB actually stands for "Country, Blue-Grass, Blues?" These were the genres it's founder hoped to bring to the venue through the 70s. So how did it turn out to become the virtual birthplace of punk? Let's find out at the only Maine screening of this film.

Depending on how many folks show, I'll stand outside the theater near concessions until 6:55 to greet attendees, as long as someone volunteers to save me a seat inside! :) Afterwards, maybe we can walk down to Starbucks or Dobra Tea House (depending on how many of us there are) to debrief.

Disclaimer: I have no idea whether or not this will be a good movie (who ever does?), but here's what I can tell you:

- Official movie site...

- Director Randall Miller's highest rated film to date is Throw Momma from the Train.

- Alan Rickman plays lead role, Hilly Kristal

PS - Heads up: at this meet-up, we will discuss the possibilities of charging a very modest fee in the future. Would love everyone's input
