Succession Planning - Building a business with the end in mind

The Vancouver Board of Trade’s Small Business Council invites you to attend their next Meetup. In addition to connecting with business professionals from across the Lower Mainland, guests will gain valuable insights on succession planning – how to build your next business with an exit strategy in mind, and how to focus your skills on what you do best.

It has been said that there are often two types of people, the starters and the finishers. As entrepreneurs, we excel at developing and launching ideas. As our business reaches the point of plateau, we could benefit from considering succession planning to allow us to free up time to dedicate to a new venture.

Join Sandy Adachi, Principal, Tax and Valuations at KNV Chartered Accountants LLP, as she shares her 20 years of experience surrounding three key topics: 1) Building a business with the end in mind 2) Understanding its business valuation and 3) Considering taxation upon selling.

A commerce graduate of Dalhousie University, Adachi articled with White Burgess Langille Inman in Nova Scotia, where she received her CA designation in 1990. In 1997, she moved to British Columbia and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a tax specialist in the Fraser Valley. Sandy joined KNV in September 2003 as a Tax Manager and in 2012 added valuations to her expertise by becoming a member of the Canadian Institute of Business Valuators.

This event is free for all to attend. Appetizers will be provided and a cash bar will be available.

Thanks for your message Tracy. I agree! I find it's a topic that I am not very knowledgable on so I am especially excited.
