I have to admit, my most recent fiction read was Sue Grafton's V is for Vengeance! For the past two or three years I've been mostly a non-fiction reader and I'm excited to get back in the habit of reading things that are a bit more of a brain exercise.
My favorite author is Barbara Kingsolver, but the poetry of Mary Oliver is a close second.
The previous line up looks good! I am hoping that by getting back into the habit of reading good literature it will whet my appetite for new authors and I will have some suggestions for future reads
Mean what you say with your RSVP, please :-)
I read The Turn of the Screw maybe seven years ago? I've looked into other book clubs in the Richmond area but, to be honest, most of the groups read things like Janet Evanovich and I just don't see what there is to talk about after you read that!
Hi! I'm Chloe. Texan transplanted into RVA. Most at home reading a book in the great outdoors with a couple fingers of good bourbon.
