Be Smart...Be Ready!

If you believe that it's simply smart to prepare for a time in the near, medium or distant future when the current social structure will no longer be able to provide us with our basic needs, then this group is for you.

The objective of this group is to use the how-to book “Dare to Prepare” by Holly Drennan Deyo to prepare our households for an emergency and, more importantly, how to come together and leverage each other’s skills and talents as a community when the situation arises. A family of four in a home can do a lot to survive during emergencies; an organized group can collectively be even stronger.

It doesn't matter what your reasons for believing this are. Perhaps you believe that global warming is going to wreak severe havoc on the planet. Maybe you think that our nation is on the brink of a major war. It's possible that you're a "conspiracy theorist" who believes that "they" are out to get us all. Perhaps you’re a Christian who believes that the “end times” are upon us, or a New Ager who believes that the times leading up to December 2012 are going to be particularly challenging. Again, for the purpose of this group, your reason for wanting to prepare for independent survival is irrelevant; our common goal is.
