**THIS IS AN ADDED DATE FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T MAKE THE FIRST ONE! Feel free to come to both if you'd like!**
As much as we hate to admit it, soon it will be fall and the birds are going to start to fly south for the winter (TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!!). Let's capture the beauty of the fall migration at Fort Whyte Alive! There are so many things to shoot here...the waterfowl getting set for the long trip south, the tipi and sod house, wee birds at the feeding stations, the bison, the leaves changing colour, and the gorgeous prairie sunsets.
Fort Whyte is open until dusk for us to take photos...however they tell me that when shooting the waterfowl in low light, flash photography is not permitted.
Here's the plan as we see it:
5:45p - Meet at the Fort Whyte Alloway Reception Center (main entrance)
6:00p - Start walking the trails
DUSK (I don't know when that is, but I'm sure someone will tell us when it's time to go. I'm going to say no later than 9p) - Head home
What you'll need:
-$2 meetup fee, plus $7 for your Fort Whyte entrance fee (if we have a group of 10 or more, the cost is only $5.25 per person)
-camera, of course!
**Please note...no non-members will be allowed on this meetup. If you have a friend that you wish to bring who has an interest in photography, have them sign up as a member of the group and then RSVP with the others**
