OP: Chris Kringle IV TEAM CLAUSE (LIGHT TEAM)

Last year at CK-III we set multiple records - Most Plastic slung, Most players at 1 event (in Wa. State history), and most importantly... over 400 toys donated...

Can we beat that this year with CK-IV...?

Entry fee: A Brand new toy ($10 value)

All toys to be donated to the "Toys for Tots" program.

It was a great day for airsoft and I did have fun taking out some grinchs. Just a thought about future operations would be breaking up the safety/operation briefing into smaller groups. This might help the dark team understand both safety aspects and objectives of the game. There were tons of people without dead rags and you really cannot complain about being shot multiple times if you don’t have your dead rag on or your gun raised “the whole time” your dead. On my team I saw some tap and go heals and no singing and a little peer pressure fixed that pretty fast. I would hope that if you see some diversion from the rules teammate would speak up and correct it asap. Merry Christmas to all and all a happy New Year!!! I’m looking forward to next year’s Kris Kringle

On light team, idk about dark but there were lots of people that didn't know the lyrics

after the long break i had it was great to be back out and to support the kids, there was the good and bad of that many people being at a game. Along with all the rambo talk of the Spec op tier 1 operators in the parking lot. What i didn't like to you is nobody appreciated my singing and my made up songs besides a few. I thought they were high quality and in the seasonal spirit, Even the part were i said i'll kick you in the cranberries and stomp on your yule log if you don't call your hits. All joking aside i had fun and enjoyed the time i had out there and more then happy to see my friends again an hope to make more games until the busy part of the year happens again for me. Keep what your doing fish and the rest of the Organizer. We got your backs. An last but not least i want to give a big props to Rat for allowing me to shoot at him while he was taking pictures it lightened the mood and was good to see him again.

I lost a black kmag on the field today!

    December 16, 2012

    • Herbie

Someone found a mag and gave it to Fish. Check with him, it might be yours!

Other than the minor problems on my HK416 it was a fun day, and it was for a good cause too. Heard stories and saw a small number of people from both sides not calling their hits, but overall it was still fun. Thanks to Garrett from Team TITS for the help on my HK416 and the other dude from TITS that let me shoot his awesome Polarstar.

It was a good game, but as people have already stated. It would have been nice to switch sides for a round, I felt there was a disadvantage for the Light Team. Non-the-less, my group had a great time and cannot wait for the next game.

    2 · December 15, 2012

  • Straw

Wish we could have took turns switching sides. Dark Camo starting out in the jungle and Light Camo starting out a good distance from the jungle gave Dark Camo a good advantage. Light Camo side also didn't seem as motivated as Dark Camo side did because of the disadvantage. But in the end all that matters is it was a good event to raise toys for toys for tots.

    1 · December 15, 2012

  • John N.

Good for the most part. I wish we could have switched sides to give light team a chance at starting off with cover. I had to use more team work than usual. Some people got heated cuz they thought we were cheating over by the tire mound by they didnt know we had guys reviving us. The distance was also a factor with people getting mad cuz I was hearing "youre cheating" from alot of people back and forth. The bbs couldnt go very far. I feel the pb station still would have been better.

@ jawz do you rent guns out to people? If you do my friend really wants to go but his gun broke.

    December 13, 2012

    • Jawz

Yoshua: If your guns has gone through several thousand rounds, there's a good chance that the spring might have settled to a lower FPS. But it's the FPS reading at *our* chrono station that counts whether your gun is too hot or not.

My friend was wondering if he could be on light team wearing a multicam top and woodland marpat bottoms

    December 4, 2012

    • Jawz

@Yoshua: If you were to wear neon bright colors, yes, you'd be really easy to spot. ;) However, you'd be surprised that if you wore desert MARPAT (i.e. light) and didn't move much, you are not *that* easy to spot.

Im assuming the player count cap the website is giving is just technical? I was under the impression we are attempting for a record number of players. Am I correct in that assumption?

    December 10, 2012

Yes record numbers but its away to ask people to sign up for the dark side. They are 20+ operators short

what kind of gear do i need?

    December 5, 2012

    • Jawz

Comfortable shoes (preferably somewhat water-tight), pants that you don't mind ripping, *sealed* eye protection (i.e. *no* shooting glasses), weather-appropriate clothing, and maybe a vest (or backpack) to carry your mags and BBs. Last but not least, leave your attitude at home, open your sunshine drawer, and infect everyone with your smile. :) Since you seem to be an airsoft newbie, you *must* familiarize yourself with our Combat Rules: http://www.meetup.com...

      2 · December 5, 2012

  • Johnny C.

and if i dont have gear yet can i come and watch people play airsoft????? I'll bring a toy!?

    December 5, 2012

    • Jawz

Buy some bio-BBs (0.2g or heavier) and I'll get you a loaner. My philosophy is simple: "You break my gun, I'll fix it. You lose any parts of it, you'll pay for it -- especially mags." It's your call. ;)

      December 5, 2012

    • Timothy G.

Honestly if you do not have gear and a gun, I always have a couple extra guns and a couple sets of gear I bring so if you want I could meet you there and let you borrow some stuff.

      December 5, 2012

Hey! I was wondering what the collie ranges for the teams were. Like I have a solid darkish green WWI field coat with just plain blue jeans... And could we use duct tape on your right bicep to determine teams??

    December 5, 2012

    • Straw

I believe you would be considered on the dark team.

      December 5, 2012

    • Jawz

Solid "darkish green" sounds like OD (olive drab) and is therefore dark. Same with your blue jeans. You can duct tape any favorite body part of yours as long as others know whether you're on "dark" or "light" team. ;D

So I have a 3 burst pump shotgun as my primary. Is there any special rules that apply to me?

    December 4, 2012

    • Jawz

@Ethan: I answered a similar question by Kyle Oliver (see below). Try not to mix camos/colors: that would only create bad blood. ;) Contact Matthew, take on his offer, and give him a good hand shake!

Hey guys! First time posting and the first time to be playing with you as well! I have a Fireteam of 3 men (Including myself). Are we going to be able to function within the game or does Light Team HAVE to stay together?

    November 23, 2012

    • Jawz

Russel: CK has always been an objective-based skirmish. Everyone can run however they want: alone, in a squad, with their girlfriend(s) -- it's up to you since this is not a MilSim (military simulation) event. The most important aspects of CK are to have fun and to donate for a good cause.

Where can I find some better pictures of The Jungle? All I could see on Google Earth was piles of what looked to be trash. Hoping for a some buildings, or is this, as the name implies, pure foliage? Just hoping to to do a little research on the area. Thanks for any help.

    November 15, 2012

    • Straw

I'm not sure where you can find better picture of the area than what google earth gives you. But the jungle is just to the north of that trash you see. It is just as the name says. No buildings. It's one of the better jungle/forest fields I've played on in Washington.

      November 15, 2012
