Wolf Pack :)

A new wolf pack has been confirmed near the Alpine Lakes Wilderness only 90 minutes away from Seattle, lending further evidence that Washington state is still wild enough to support a keystone species.

Now the sobering reality: poachers were able to nearly wipe out the Lookout Pack, Washington’s first verified pack in over 70 years. The fate of this pack is unknown.

Without strong advocates, Washington’s wolves’ full recovery hangs in the balance.
