What: Snowshoeing with Dinner & Drinks in the evening
Saturday, March 16.
Where: Snow Drifters Cabin, Tahoe Donner. Snowshoeing departure from the backyard of the cabin heading east toward Prosser Hill.
When: Saturday, March 16.
Departure times for Snowshoeing: 9:00am for 6-8 mile hike. 11:00am for 3- 5 mile hike. Bring your own lunch.
Dinner/drinks Saturday night 6:00 pm.
Cost: - Dinner/Drinks $20 check or cash paid separately from cabin rates.
Dinner will include chicken enchiladas, taco salad, margaritas & beer, chips, salsa & guacamole, and brownies for dessert.
Limitations: Limited to 10 people to stay at the cabin. Others are welcome to join us for snowshoeing and dinner even if not staying at the cabin.
Gear needed: Rent snowshoes at REI, Sports Basement, or Granite Chief in Truckee. They have them at Costco.com for $79.99 if you’re looking to buy. Recommended gear: snowshoes, poles, gaiters (if pants not waterproof), weather proof boots, warm jacket and pants, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and day pack to carry water and lunch.
