Avalanche Beacon Practice & Drills (beacon provided)

Have you practiced using your Beacon this year? Do you feel confident you can rescue your friend if buried? Are you wanting to learn how your beacon works?

Join me as we learn how to find a buried beacon quickly and efficiently. Spend a much needed few hours practicing using your beacons. The Friends of the NW Avalanche Center is nice enough to give us their beacons to use during our practice sessions as well as KAF Adventures. Now let’s take time to practice course searching, pin-point searches, and multi-burials.

Bring a backpack that you can bury. Avalanche probes will be very helpful to locate the buried beacons. I am short probes.

Looking forward to meeting and working with you all.

If you are going to attend please register here: Course cost is $10

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
