What time will you be leaving Seattle/what time do you want us to be at the trail?

Also, are we all taking seperate cars?  Just want to make sure it is easy to drive.

Thanks!

RSVP HERE

This is an easy snowshoe route near Snoqualmie Pass. It is about 5 miles round trip with about 1300' elevation gain.

We have 3 scheduled stops on this trip.  1) The Issaquah REI (on the way) to rent snowshoes 2) Issaquah REI to drop rented Snowshoes.  3) Issaquak Pho for Dinner (open until 9pm on Sunday)

Green Trails Map: Green Trails Snoqualmie Pass No. 207

I will give a 15 minute introduction to snowshoeing before we start.  Feel free to ask questions along the way and I will try and make helpful ----yet interesting and maybe intertaining suggestions about winter travel and snowshoeing along the way.

Some fun optional stuff will be fording a creek on snowshoes and how too traverse steep slopes.

I am bringing my stove, cocoa, marshmellows and spoons.  Please bring your own cup ;-)

This is intended as a fun and easy trip for beginners so most all are invited.

Please feel free to ping me with any questions.

Directions compliments WTA:

Driving Directions:

To get there, from Seattle drive east on Interstate 90 to exit 52 (Snoqualmie Pass, West Summit) and turn north, crossing under the freeway. Continue north to the first wide, plowed pullout along the road, usually no more than 0.25 mile beyond the freeway. Park in the first available space, making sure your vehicle is well clear of the roadway. If parking is not available on the lower road, park on the south side of the freeway and walk through the underpass to reach the trailhead.
