    • Thank you for signing up to participate in the Acorn Collection and Planting Volunteer event with the Riverside Land Conservancy and the Santa Ana Watershed Association.  We appreciate your help. There is some rain scheduled for this week but it currently looks like Saturday should be clear. We are hoping for a beautiful day. I am attaching a map and directions to the property.  There will be a Riverside Land Conservancy banner at the entrance. Parking is along the road. Please use caution when parking and exiting your vehicle. There will be a lot of hiking throughout the collection and planting. Please come prepared with closed toe sturdy shoes. Pants, water, and sunscreen are also recommended. When you arrive, please check in. Every participant must be signed in and sign a waiver to participate. Check in will begin at 8:30am. Let me know if you have any questions.  I am often out in the field so my cell phone is the easiest way to get in touch with me:[masked]-1120. Thank you. See you on Saturday! Acorn Collection and Planting

    Santa Ana Watershed Association http://www.sawaedu.org

San Timoteo canyon has suffered from an oak disease that has killed many of the oak trees in the area.

In an effort to restore the area to a natural state, the Santa Ana Watershed Association and the Riverside Land Conservancy are partnering to host a volunteer acorn collection and planting day.

**Volunteers will help collect healthy acorns and plant the acorns in an area that has lost oaks trees.**

This will be a hands on day. Prepare to get dirty while you help save the local oak population.
