I wanted to make a few comments about our group, where we are going and why we do things the way we do. You know, there is no right way or wrong way to organize a Meetup group. All we can do is try the best we can to have a vital and fun group that makes members comfortable and make them feel they belong as a part of our family. We always try to do things the right way. I have always said, I will embrace members and groups that are transparent and ignore those that are not. With so many groups now, sometimes that can be a challenge. I love all kinds of activities and if you look at our lineup, you will find a diverse range of events for you to attend. I like small activities because it gives members a chance to mingle and get to know each other on a more intimate and personal level. SoCal FUN is fortunate in that we can also have large activities, which have their place as well, especially when someone throws a party or when we put together a dance. Those are activities that members expect to see a fair number of people at.

No matter how hard I try to be consistent, there will always be instances that may not seem as perfect to some members, we are all human and when I have over 11,000 members I try to deal with fairly on the various groups I organize, well you can see the challenges that sometimes I face. We have a core leadership team of 10 people, which advise, question and work through any issues that may arise. I also seek consul from professionals that are experienced in dealing with groups, ethical issues and other concerns. We are far from perfect, but we try our hardest to do things in the right way and give all our members a group they can be proud of and events that they look forward to attending. Our motto is that we are the place "Where FUN Lives." One of my advisors said to me once, that good will always win out in the end, it just may take some time. I intend to stay the course, be as consistent as I can be and move forward with my dream of having the best and most successful Meetup group in the Inland Empire. I thank you all for being a part of this wonderful experience and for making it so much fun and worthwhile.

See you all out there!

Don, Tim & Nancy
