Where to fish Next? Pay Lakes or Stocked lakes?

We got some choices. City stocked lakes are cheaper but require a license to fish them. Licenses cost like 44.85 per year, ending at 12/31/12 no matter when you buy it. Pay lakes do NOT require a license and allow you to use 2 poles. a 2 pole year round license is an additional 14 bux added to the 44. This allows 2 poles to be used in any fresh water area thats not private land. City lakes cost about five bux to 12$ to park at. No fee to fish however.

Where and when should we fish next?

I am trying to gather everyone's input on where and when should we plan a meetup in order for most of us to show up and have a good time. Based on this Poll we will pick a date and venue. Everyone's response will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to post your recommendations. (You can select more than one option)

Fred Hall Show Wed March 3-7 in Long Beach!!! DATES UPDATED!!!

I totally messed up on the date!!! So gang here it is again! http://www.fredhall.com/ A great place to buy that salt water, fresh water rig, kayak, float tube, boat, terminal tackle, storage units, accessories etc! We can have a couple meetups I figure, trying to get the greatest # of people together in a couple groups. I probably will go there on Thursday Mar 25. Mid wk is usually less crazy. If you got kids bring em as they will be inundated with free stuff :D. I actually had to go back to my car a couple times to drop off stuff I bought and the free stuff I got. Sat/Sun are the big days with oodles of people. Sun is interesting- there may be some final deals going on...people dont like to haul all their stuff back to the stores/warehouses. So week day vs weekend has to be decided. They also got camping gear, chairs, food, baits, nets, etc everything related to fishing in any way. It is mostly a salt water convention with some fresh water stuff. I have had a blast.
