The world is taking notice of Tim VanOrden, elite athlete and creator of the Running Raw Project www.RunningRaw.com. Tim is a raw vegan athlete who has an international reputation for excelling in some of the world's most grueling sports. He's recently been crowned the New England Master's Mountain Running Champion and his achievements in Stair climbing, or Tower Racing, have just been featured in GQ Magazine and the London Guardian.

On September 26th, Tim will be competing against the best stair climbers in the country at the US Bank Tower Stair Climb in Los Angeles. This race climbs the 1,576 steps of the 76 storey US Bank Tower in downtown L.A., which is the tallest office building west of Chicago. Last year Tim won this race and put the world of stair climbing on notice, that Raw Food has arrived. The Food Network is sending a camera crew to film Tim in this epic race as part of a documentary style show on Tim and the Running Raw Project which will air later this fall.

The next day, Tim will be giving a dynamic presentation in Altadena, Ca. at 6 p.m. In this lecture Tim puts forth a new definition of Health; beyond the absence of disease and into the realm of THRIVING. In this discussion he'll touch upon the power of a raw vegan diet and how transitioning to this lifestyle will open new possibilities for your life. Tim's talks have touched thousands of people throughout the country and we're thrilled to have the chance to offer you this presentation.

There is a fee of $12 payable at the door. All proceeds go to supporting the Running Raw project and enabling Tim, as a sponsored athlete, to continue to get the message of Raw Foods out to the mainstream population. The presentation will begin at 6:00pm sharp, so come early and bring a raw dish to share.

If you don't know who Tim is, check out his videos on YouTube. If you don't know what stair running is, check out his website here: http://www.runningraw....

Bring: A raw vegan dish. If you have difficulty with what to bring, contact me and we'll work it out. A large towel or lawn/sand chair as we'll be outside; a good attitude.

There is no smoking on the premises and please, refrain from using perfumes and colognes for the comfort of those around you. Thank you.

I'm very excited as Tim doesn't come out this way too often anymore.

There is a $12.00 cash fee at the door.

Spread the word!

This event will be held at a private home in Altadena, Ca. and the address will be sent out to registrants a few days before the event.

SteveA ~ Come early! I want some of that cobbler before it's all gone! (Or, you COULD make a separate dish for me and my babes. :) ) Alas, he'll be working again.

    •  This was excellent and very inspiring. I've been raw for 8 years and I learned a lot of new information that got me excited about this lifestyle again!
    •  The food was spectacular. Normally, not many salads; this time lots of salad, guacamole, fresh melons (we even had a melon-off ~ hey! you had to show up!), divine cobblers, and PASTA! Lots of networking then Tim talked about 2 hours and not a boring moment. If you've not heard Tim, he's a wealth of knowledge and knowing. This meetup was AWEsome!
    •  Tim was great. Inspirational and articulate.

Tim's thoughts and insights were incredibly informative and inspiring. The food this time was particularly awesome - Caesar salad, Kale salad, parsnip noodle Pad Thai on a spinach bed with an incredibly delicious almond sauce, outstanding homemade guac w/turnip & beet chips, celery and carrot sticks with a "to-live-for" hummus, luscious melons of various kinds, one-month-only seasonal red grapes, to drink - mint water or orange juice, and fresh young coconut and coconut water and for dessert - fruit medley cobbler and/or vanilla-nut/macadamia balls! We feasted ourselves to bursting (well, some of us did, anyway!) and there was still leftover. Tim's talk went into overtime, and he handled many questions, giving each thoughtful consideration and articulate response. I am sorry to have to tell you who were not there that you DID "miss it", this time. Please keep this in mind for "next time", okay?
