Leanna Wolfe, Ph.D.

ARE POLYAMORY AND CHEATING ALL THAT DIFFERENT?

Both people aligned with polyamory and those who cheat share important things in common. They both want to maintain the security of their home relationships as well as to entertain the sparks of love, attention and eroticism from others. Poly people endeavor to disclose their whereabouts with all of their loved ones while cheaters fear disclosure will collapse the delicate configurations they have crafted. Based on data collected from a 6,000 person Internet survey, Dr. Wolfe, will dissect and evaluate similarities and differences in sexual practices and relationship ideologies.

Leanna Wolfe holds a Ph.D in Sexology and an MA in Anthropology, has published numerous scholarly articles and books, as well as conducting in-depth field work on polygamy, polyamory and infidelity all over the world. Dr. Wolfe produces these Sex and Culture Salons at La Casa de Pensamiento Libre in Van Nuys and teaches anthropology at Los Angeles Valley College. She has worked as a lecturer at The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and California State University Los Angeles. She is a past president of the Southern California Applied Anthropology Network and has been featured widely on television and radio, including Discovery and A&E.
