Sex and Culture Lecture Series
Tuesday October 25
@ 7:30 PM
Leanna Wolfe and Craig Schwartz
This presentation will play with the intersection of sociology, science fiction and technology to tease out possibilities for the future of sex and intimate relationships. Will dreams of life-long marriage whither as we ride continuing waves dopamine-enhanced new relationships? Will remote-controlled dildos (re: teledildonics) supplant our appetites for carnal connection? Might tumescence-producing technologies be multiplexed so as to create a continuous mass orgasm into which one might dial in and out at will, creating a global sexual conference call? Will long-distance relationships become a thing of the past as technology enables the sharing of powerful intimacies across time and space? Come join us for a playful and enlightened discussion!
