Hello members, I bet that title got your attention, eh? My name is Brian and I am one of the leaders of SoCal Science Cafe! I just had the most wonderful time with SoCal Science Cafe members up in Orange County, where a bunch of us went to the Orange County Astronomers meeting! We had a lot of fun, believe it or not!! But what does "Halo" have to do with drugs? Who knows? Maybe Dr. Hari Muddana, our speaker at SoCal Science Cafe's own program coming up next Saturday, will be able to help us find out! Sign up here: It's a free program and we will be hanging out in the in store Coffeehouse of Upstart Crow bookstore, down in San Diego's Seaport Village. Sign up here: It'll be a very cazh (as in casual) setting, kind of like people getting together at the "sidewalk cafe" to think great thoughts and have conversations, the universe, and everything! Sign up here: (The answer is "42," by the way). Anyway, do sign up to come join us this coming Saturday and I do hope you will be able to visit with our scientist speaker over a latte, where there won't be a boring lecture, but just 45 minutes of "hand waving," random conversation, attempting to dig in to the fascinating aspects of science that we can all relate to. Sign up here: See you there!
