Dear SoCal Science Cafe friends,
My name is SPC/Dr. Brian Hart, astrophysicist and soldier, and the founder of SoCal Science Cafe.
I just want to tentatively (because my army supervisor still has to approve my participation) that I have been selected to be a contestant on the first episode of the new reality show, "Starwalker," where people from around the planet compete for the chance to win a trip to outer space as an astronaut.
Wish me luck! The first episode is May 2010, and the first event is a half marathon...13 miles. A run farther than I have ever ran in my life. I guess I have to ramp my training up a bit!
