Return for $10.00 Wine tasting with appetizers at Irvine Village market

(Maximum 20 RSVP's please)

The Irvine Village Market in Irvine has $10 wine tasting every Friday night. The place has a nice atmosphere sitting outside the market meeting new people. I've had company get-togethers at this place.

The $10 cost includes trying usually 5 or 6 selections of wine and includes appetizers of cheese plates, pizzas, etc.

If you like one of the bottles, you can take your receipt in and get $5 off one of the bottles showcased.

Most bottles run around $10-$20.

You purchase you ticket (actually your receipt) inside the Village Market at the cashier counter.

Come join the fun. Should be wonderful weather as well!

The wine suppliers to the market promote the different wines you taste and the market supplies the food. They do it to show off different wines with the idea that you may come back some other day and purchase more wine or buy some other wine they have as well. In some cases, they have special prices for the wine and with the $5 off, you actually can get some of these wines for less than wholesale. Overall, it is a nice event and everyone has a great time!

You can park next to the market. If that is full, there is underground parking under each of the complexes. You can park on the first level in guest parking (no cost for any of this parking). Also if that is full (unlikely), you can park across the street (Irvine Center Drive and Spectrum) in an office parking lot. The gate of that lot stays open after 7 PM for the people going to the Spectrum Mall next store. Hope that helps and looking forward to meeting everyone!

Good wine, good people and good conversation. Flip Flop wine is just fine. Pinot Grigio was the best in my book. The Malbec was interesting. Gotta love those Rodeo Clowns!

Just got word that the Village Market is going to be pouring "Flip Flop" wine tonight. 6 - 8 varieties. They have a special this month on this wine at $5.99 (normally $7.99). If you go to the tasting, you can get $5 off one bottle, so the one bottle would cost you $1. There will be appetizers tonight as well as part of the tasting.

Been out and about too much this week and have three parties to go to this weekend. I need to rest tonight. Maybe next time.
