Jay Hewlett has been there; done that. He's a man with a mission and no mission at all. He's in tune with the times and out of tune with everyone. He's a guy who thinks goals are for goalies. He does everything right and yet stuff happens to him.
He figures it must be a conspiracy.
Like the time he didn't pay his phone bill. He got letters like, "Perhaps you forgot." 'Maybe it slipped your mind." He wrote back: 'Nope, no freakin' money."
They canceled my credit cards. "How do you expect me to pay my phone bill?"
See, stuff happens to him. "And I don't get it," says Jay. "I've worked hard to achieve so little."
Born to a postal worker father and a high school drama teacher mother, Jay has always dreamed of working in the postal / acting profession. Now he is one shirt closer to that dream. You may laugh, and many do, but he has learned to be satisfied with making people laugh, after all he is a comedian.
And how they laugh!
Julie Kidd was crowned The Most Hilarious Housewife by Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg on the VIEW!
Julie's quirky parenting views capture the truth, struggle and the glory of raising three children on her own as she delights audiences and always leaves them wanting more. The portrayal of Julie’s humor translates into a “can do” attitude and her triumphs cannot be summed up easily, for there are many!
On stage Julie brags about her finally completed jewelry set… of pasta jewelry (that she keeps in a cool dry place)! She proudly displays a rigatoni toe ring, bowtie pasta earrings and a string of glittered macaroni shells. She confesses that when times were tough, she had to boil the linguini anklets and matching bangles…
An audience favorite is her tooth fairy joke: Julie accidentally placed two ten-dollar bills under her son’s pillow instead of two one-dollar bills. The next night she left her son a note that read “I need eighteen dollars back… or more teeth. Love, the Tooth Fairy”. Good Housekeeping quotes: Julie Kidd, a single mom with three children who is too busy to cook. When she calls her kids to dinner, they run to the car!
Julie is the author of Momalogue, A Journey through a Single Mother’s Hood. Julie is a contributing humor writer for www.ModernMom.com . Her jokes have also been featured in Good Housekeeping and in numerous comedy books including: Comedy Thesaurus, She’s So Funny, Mom This Jokes For You, and Loves Funny That Way. Kidd has performed on numerous television shows, including: ABC’s The View, Life Moments, Iyanla, What’s Up OC, Inside this Edition and Next Big Star.
