Newport Beach Film Festival

The Newport Beach Film Festival begins on Thursday, April 26th. It is a great week-long event that features red carpets, celebrities, and lots of great films!

On April 27th, the festival is having a night of short, romantic films called "Maybe Romantic, Definitely Short and Sweet." There are 9 short films screening that evening, so there should be something for everyone to enjoy. Some will be funny, others will be heartfelt, all will involve romance.

The film I wrote, Interview Date, is among the 9 short films that will be shown that night. Some of the romantic films will be hilarious, some will be thought provoking, but with 9 different short films everyone will find something they enjoy. Interview Date has previously won Best Comedy at the Love Your Shorts Film Festival in Florida and an Audience Award at the DC Shorts Film Festival, and this will be the first time it is shown on the West Coast.

The screening takes place on April 27th at 6 pm at the Triangle Square 1 Theater in Costa Mesa. Tickets are only $12.

This evening was great. Although I was late and didn't even get to sit with the group I was able to watch the films. SO GOOD!!!!
I would totally do it again.

With most festivals they advise you get there early! If it starts at 6 pm then use your best judgement on when to arrive to get tickets or buy online at the festival website. Also if screenings get behind could start a little past 6. Remember there are no long previews typically at festivals so make sure you are on time! See you guys there!

This is happening in April (this Friday), NOT in August. Sorry for the typo. Apparently I had August on the brain.

No, it's $12 for the night of multiple short films. Each film is between 5 and 25 minutes, and the entire screening will be about 2 hours.
