I just got word when I got home. My Dad is going to have his breathing and feeding tubes pulled unless he recovers in a week. He's been hospitalized with West Nile Virus, Miningitous and sifiitios for a week so far. He's probably going to die.
0 · September 27, 2014
I am sorry to hear that; hope he recovers. Thoughts and prayers go out to your father.
0 · September 28, 2014
Oh... I'm so sorry to hear.
I can't really say I'll pray for him, but I'll still care. I'm sorry to hear, Steven.
1 · October 3, 2014
He didn't make it.
0 · October 3, 2014
my prayers to u and ur family in this horrible time.
I'm very sorry to hear. I hope you'll grow stronger through your struggles
Oh, man. I'm so sorry. No one should have to go through that. :( My heart goes out to you

It was fun, the movie was great, can't complain.
1 · September 28, 2014
did this equestria girls movie entry live up to expectations to the first one?
0 · September 29, 2014
I think it was just a good as the first one...in some ways even better.
2 · September 29, 2014
As a note, asking whether a movie was better than another is inherently subjective, and so before I give my opinion of the movie, I would advise seeing it once you can and forming your own.Now that that disclaimer is out of the way, I will tell you what I think of this movie. If by "live up to the expectations" of the first movie, you mean was it as good as the first movie, then my answer is a resounding no, no it wasn't as good as the first movie. In fact, it was better (and not just a little better, far better); everything seemed to be improved. And one more thing, without spoiling anything, definitely the greatest turnaround for Sunset Shimmer (she goes from a boring, paint-by-the-numbers antagonist in the first movie to an actually interesting protagonist in the second; I'd go as far to say that she was the most well-written character of the movie, honestly, though they were all pretty solid)

And since I can't edit my post, I should note that the first paragraph of my reply is not necessarily directed at you, Andrew, but at anybody who might see this comment chain in this group and who hasn't seen the movie yet.
Limited viewing starting a 3pm CST https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot2dtWInoFA&edit=vd
I just joined the group so I don't know any one of you personally. I'm just looking for some confort or someone to talk to.
2 · September 27, 2014

Btw. Awesome energy in there. Wouldn't have been half as fun without all the cheering :D love you all
Yay Movie was amazing
1 · September 27, 2014
ooooooh myyyyy gooooooooood. SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD.
THAT WAS AWESOME
yeah it was.
I personally think it redeemed the first film. A LOT. Plus, all the nods to the fanbase were amazing.

It happens. Good luck!
What is going on after the movie?
0 · September 23, 2014
Either people go on their ways or meetup somewhere
0 · September 24, 2014
The Westminster Mall is not too far away...mqaybe raid Hot Topic and see if they have the newest Funco figurines.
Yeah, it's literally, like, two major streets away (the theater is near Westminster Blvd, while the mall is right near Bolsa Ave, right on the other side of the 405, traveling down Goldenwest)
I likely won't be attending this, but I thought I'd offer some friendly advice since I hosted the showing(s) for EG at this location last year: If there's an option to buy the tickets early, BUY THEM ASAP.
Last year, we literally had 20 or so people (out of around 50 who RSVP'd) who showed up and couldn't get into the theater since the showing sold out minutes after the theater opened for the day. Kids DO go to these showings with their parents and will buy up tickets fast. Random bronies who aren't meetup members also show up as well. We had to have another showing the following week just to accomodate all of those who wanted to go.
Simply put, tickets go fast and showings DO sell out. So if you're going to go, buy beforehand to avoid being disappointed the day of the showing.
Hope you guys have a fun time!
4 · July 23, 2014
Good advice! :D
2 · July 23, 2014
Yeah thanks for the advice happen to me last year, but not this time
1 · July 23, 2014
I want to buy them this way but I don't got a credit card :(
0 · August 2, 2014
We gotta tell those random bronies to come to the meetups
1 · September 23, 2014
I *may* come. I'm not sure yet because that day is my birthday and I'm unsure still.
Well, Now that I read that, I'll take your word for it, but since I never have bought tickets online before, do you get your tickets at the theater or do you have to print them out? Because my printer's busted, and I really want to make sure I see this movie. If anyone's bought tickets online before, I'd appreciate ANY info.
0 · September 26, 2014
As long as you bring the credit card used to buy the tickets on Fandango, it should be fine!
Yeah, pretty sure when you use your credit card to buy the tickets on Fandango, it gives you instructions for either printing it out at home, or retrieving it from the box office at the theater (if I'm not mistaken)
do we expect tickets to run out at the box office? AKA: do we /have/ to get the tickets online?
0 · September 22, 2014
It's obviously not a mandatory requirement, but I would recommended buying tickets ahead of time just to be on the safe side.
Of course. Any chance you know how large the theater is? Estimated people capacity?
Not right off, no...but like last year there will be kids and their parents as well as bronies who are not memebers of this group.
If you need to ask someone to buy your ticket online for you, just remember to do the "big soulful eyes and pouting lip" routine, like this:
I live right next to the place, each theater room is not too big...
Yep, I live about a mile away from it and from what I remember, the theaters tend to be on the small side
just bought my ticket on fandango. yay!

1 · September 24, 2014
I just purchased my ticket...movie time is 10 AM, so let's get to the theater by 9:30
0 · September 3, 2014
Can you send a link. And was UT the $5 only.
Got my ticket, although.......despite the address being the same, the name given here in meetups "Edwards Westminster Cinema 10" is slightly different from the fandango website "Regency Westminster 10". Tell me the 2 are one and the same, please.
Yes because Edwards west minister closed
That ticket I bought via screenvision link to fandango website should still work, right?
It does...that's how I bought my ticket. And mine also says "Regency Westminster 10".

Bob Hershey changed the time from 10:00 AM to 9:30 AM
September 3, 2014
Man i wish i could go but there no one that live near me to go and i dont realy know where one near by if any one know let me know please i live near Ontario
0 · August 26, 2014
I live in San Bernardino, so I could probably pick you up on that day. The movie will also be at the Fontana 8 theater at 16741 Valley Blvd. in Fontana. Whichever works better for you.
Wait there one in Fontana ? If there is then ill do my best to make it there for me its just a 10 min drive
0 · August 30, 2014
It's around the Toys R Us on the Southwest corner of Sierra and Valley Blvd.
Thanks it nearow its down becouse i know where the toys r us
0 · August 31, 2014
I need a ride if I'm going to make it to this one. Even though the film's also gonna be playing in San Juan Capistrano, I'd much prefer seeing it with more familiar friends.
0 · August 29, 2014
Where do u live? If what bob Hershey saying is true the i might be able to pick u up
Im going to look a bit to see if i fine one near me i fine could fine one i set up a meeting for brony near by wish me luck
So are we not going to get an official trailer for this movie? I thought we'd get another one that was longer.
0 · August 11, 2014
No But they now have it At Whittier. But They May Show in Los Angeles.
I am going to see it in Van Nuys.
1 · August 11, 2014
Do you think buying your tickets early is a good idea or buying them the day of the show is better?
0 · August 9, 2014
Buy online last time they sold out when I tried to buy them at the theaters and had to go the next day
This is gonna be interesting
0 · August 4, 2014
I've changed the venue to the Edwards Westminster 10 since it looks like the Garden Walk 14 in Anaheim isn't on the list of theaters showing "Rainbow Rocks" anymore.
1 · August 2, 2014
Bob Hershey changed the location from GARDEN WALK 14 to Edwards Westminster Cinema 10
August 2, 2014
Hey, this is just me thinking out loud here, but I think the location should be moved to "Cinema City Theatres" at 5635 E. La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92807. That way both of these meetups planning to go see Rainbow Rocks could see it together. Just a thought, though.
0 · July 31, 2014
Another possibility is to cancel one meetup and have an organizer edit the other, and merge the RSVP lists.
Not a bad idea since it looks like Garden Walk 14 isn't screening "Rainbow Rocks" after all!
Or another choice might be the Whittier Village Cinemas 8 in Whittier for a more L.A.-centered meetup! They're showing it every day from Sep 27th to Oct 12th!
Or...the Westminster 10, 6721 Westminster Blvd, Westminster, CA, 92683 for a more O.C.-centered venue.
Anahiem's theater was moved from the listing I think.
0 · July 29, 2014
Is it going to be a different location or by Disney Downtown
Wow, they cut a lot of locations!
It might not be all gloom and doom yet...I noticed that they also corrected the screen dates that said Sep 6 thru Sep 21. Let's wait and see if the missing theaters are put back. Remember, we still have over a month and a half to go.
I'm still pulling for an LA LIVE LA event. XD
1 · July 30, 2014
That would be the optimum choice! We'll have to check out any and all possible venues (like the Nokia Theater where "Equestria Girls" premiered last year!
0 · July 30, 2014
Good that walking distance for me so hopefully they can do it there.
Hey FluttershyJAC, how far away for you is Whittier? The Whittier Village Cinemas 8 is showing "Rainbow Rocks" every day from Sep 27 to Oct 12.
Bob Hershey changed the date and time from Saturday, September 06, 2014 at 10:00 AM to Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM
July 31, 2014
I'm not seeing this theater on the screen visions website anymore
It seems to me that tickets don't go on sale until about 2 wks before. Correct if I'm wrong.
1 · July 26, 2014
If I remember correctly, that's about right. You guys will want to keep an eye on that.
0 · July 26, 2014
This meetup's in Anahiem? Near Disneyland? That's perfect for me, considering my frequent visits to the theme park. I'm in!
0 · July 22, 2014
Supposedly we have a full listing on all theaters for Rainbow Rocks now.
0 · July 18, 2014
YES!! Garden Walk in Anaheim, near Downtown Disney!
Garden Walk[masked] W. Katella AveAnaheim, CA, 92802
Althought their listing is a bit weird:
Oct 1Sep 6Sep 7Sep 13Sep 14Sep 20Sep 21Sep 27Sep 28
Momentarily putting aside why Oct 1 is listed first, it seems to indicate that September 6 is the first date of screening! Who arranged these screen dates, Discord?!
I shall set up a meetup on the 28th for Ultrastar Mission Valley Hazard Center
0 · July 19, 2014
Hey bob what's your number again I need to get a hold of you
Man this sucks NO Los Angeles dates? Really?????
Not yet! Remember, there was a theater near Downtown Disney that screened "Equestria Girls" last year, and i'm hoping that theater screens "Rainbow Rocks" this year.
1 · July 18, 2014
Anaheim is too far for me! I want one in Downtown Los Angeles or Hollywood or Van Nuys etc.
2 · July 19, 2014
How do you think that we South of San Diego feel (yes there are cities south of San Diego, but not Mexico).
Are there any other bronies in the Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena area that could give Natalie a lift to this meetup?
I can't do Oceanside, sorry.
Well either there will be two separate meetups, and the community will be divided, or there will be a single one.Because I can't make it up to Anaheim, and I live seven miles from the US/Mexico border.
Changed it back to Anaheim, happy?
I'm from LA, thanks.
I like oceanside lol
1 · July 19, 2014
The Anaheim theater is real easy to get to after a 2:30hr bus ride from Downtown LA and I live in East LA so an additional 30 mins is not included. About three hours total.
RightCowLeftCoast changed the date and time from Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM to Saturday, September 06, 2014 at 10:00 AM
July 18, 2014
RightCowLeftCoast changed the location from UltraStar Cinemas Mission Marketplace 13 to GARDEN WALK 14

RightCowLeftCoast changed the date and time from Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM to Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM
RightCowLeftCoast removed the location. It was GARDEN WALK 14
Bob Hershey changed the location to GARDEN WALK 14
UPDATE: The Digiplex theater chain (which showed "Equestria Girls" last year) will be showing "Rainbow Rocks" this year:
As more theaters join the roster of locations showing "Rainbow Rocks" we'll have a better choice of locations for this meetup!
0 · July 16, 2014
So it's in Los Angeles Area
0 · July 17, 2014
Not as yet...but stand by for more updates!
2 · July 17, 2014
NO Los Angeles dates!!!!!! NONE if you want to see this film you going to have to travel 1 or more hours to see it!
If we do Oceanside or Temecula, those are midway between Riverside/San Diego and Los Angeles/San Diego
Remember everypony, we have until September 27th...we haven't even reached August yet!
I may go to this
0 · July 15, 2014
Is anypony here going to Comic Con? Apparently there is going to be some kind of big teaser for "Rainbow Rocks"!
Really is this going to be in the Los Angeles area right. I would go too Comic Con bit there Sold out
There will be meetups that don't require Comic-Con passes
I REALLY hope this happenes for good. <3<3
2 · July 11, 2014
I hate that it's an hour away from me. :(
0 · July 10, 2014
Hopefully more theaters will be showing it as we get closer to September 27th, so don't despair yet!
Haha maybe who knows they should release it to AMC theaters XD
You should include a general area where you plan to host this meet.
1 · July 10, 2014
The closer we get to the actual date, the more information we'll have to be able to pinpoint where this meetup should be located. Don't forget, it's still more than two months away.
You need to at least have a general area so people can decide to RSVP for this meet or not.
We would like it to be somewhere in the L.A./Orange County area since that's where a large majority of SoCal Bronies are located. So far, the closest theater confirmed to be showing Rainbow Rocks is in Chino Hills. Hopefully more theaters will be showing it as we get closer to September 27th.
We have an update:Harkins Theaters will be showing "Equestrai Girls: Rainbow Rocks" according to Equestria Daily:
If this screening is in the San Diego area, I might be able to make it.
Like "Equestria Girls" last year, it will probably have screenings at numerous locations...so if this meetup is too far away, another one will probably be added for those in the San Diego area.
You think might be in Los Angeles Area and I definitely make reservation if it is. :-)
doesnt this movie come out in later september? correct me if i am wrong on that
An unconfirmed release date of September 27th is posted on equestria Daily: http://www.equestriad...
