Changes coming in YARN, Hadoop 2.0, and how it can benefit HealthIT

We are pleased to have Subash DSouza speaking in July's session. I ran into Subash @HadoopSummit and he has gracefully accepted to present to us Yarn/Hadoop 2.0, new features, how it is compared to M/R 1.0, and do a demo, then we will have an open discussion on what are some of the possible use cases for it in HealthIT.

Bio:

Subash DSouza is the organizer for the LA HBase User group and Co-Organizer for the LA Hadoop User Group. He has been using Hadoop and Big Data for the past 3 years. Working in the online advertising space, he has been familiar with the problems faced by traditional RDBMS in terms of scaling and realized soon on that Hadoop was a good fit to problems in that space. He is also the reviewer for Apache Flume: Distributed Log soon to be released by packt publishing.
