Santa Cruz Island Kayaking - Day Trip or Overnight

hey all,

I'm planning on doing a paddling trip out along the coast of Santa Cruz Island next friday 30th - saturday 31st. Wondering if anyone might be interested in joining, either for one of the two days or for both?

On Friday we'll be taking the 9am Island Packers ferry to Prisoners Harbor, then paddling that day down to Scorpion Anchorage, where I've got a campsite booked for the night. This stretch is about 10 miles, looks relatively sheltered, and has a few spots along the way to take breaks if needed (like chinese harbor and potato harbor).

On Saturday we'll be exploring more south from Scorpion for a few hours, before returning back on the 5pm ferry from Scorpion.

here's a map of the route: http://goo.gl/maps/zCINz

This is my first paddling trip out here, so would love it if anyone else would like to come with, both for the safety reasons and for the company. You should have you own boat with plenty of experience paddling in the ocean, able to launch and land in surf, and able to do self and assisted rescues.

cheers - Tony
