Join us for one or all three parts of Winter Solstice and lights merry making!!

1 - 4:30pm  Launch for Sunset Back Bay paddle!!  We'll meander back into the bay for about 1hr+ , enjoying the last few rays of sun and the magic of dusk.  Sunset 4:48pm.

2 - 6:00pm  NAC Beach Merrymaking!!  Let's break out hot or cold beverages and snacks to share while we chat and relax, getting ready for the light parade paddle.

3- 7:00pm Launch for Newport Harbor Boat parade!! From NAC we'll meander our way about 1 mile to the PCH bridge where we'll find a spot to watch the parade in relative safety (away from the crazy boaters).  The parade should pass by around 7:44.   After that we'll paddle back to NAC, pack up and we can all find someplace warm to eat, drink and be merry!! ☼

For the paddle:

• BYO Boat, sorry no rentals available for evening use.  Please arrive about 1 hour early to park and unload

• Bring Warm/Wind/Waterproof layers!! It can be Kkkkkold, especially while sitting on the water watching the parade go by.

• You MUST HAVE FRONT AND BACK DECK LIGHTING. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT TO ATTEND the lights parade paddle (we need extra visibility). This could simply be working flashlights or multiple glow sticks on your front and back decks.  Optional: Be Festive & Decorate your boat with pretty lights!!

• Optional: pack your favorite cold or hot beverage, and maybe some sweet or savory treats to share at the beach merrymaking and/or while we wait and watch the parade on the water by the PCH bridge.

► Be there, or be square!!! Ya comin? or What?

Please RSVP, subject to cancel or change.
When you RSVP, please let us know which parts of the paddle(s) you plan on attending, and if you want, you can let us know what yummy treats you might be bringing, so we can get our appetites worked up... :D

Unfortunately the last rentals are due back at about the time that we head out! :( We'd love to see you and hope you can still join! You can also come to the later paddle, catch up to us on the back bay, or just wait on the beach for us to come back for merrymaking if you're running late! Hope to see you

@ Rebecca- I'll have a second kayak with me if you want to use it.
13 ft. perception acadia sit in.
You might need to bring your own PFD in case my spare doesn't fit and lights to use as nav lights if you do the night paddle.

I have to work Saturday but I can be there at 6:00 for the party time with goodies in hand. Since I will be driving, I can bring nice treats to share but don't know yet what they will be. It will be great to see the group again. It's been a while 'cause work seems to always get in the way......Carol

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
