Understand most Spanish, get lost with some accents or those who speak really fast. I know, can speak but have limited vocabulary and forget tense at times.
I travel to Mexico frequently, understand Spanish but mostly respond in English due to my lack of confidence in my skills. Also at work, it would help to be able to respond in Spanish.
Travel to various places/regions in Mexico over the last 10+ years.
Travel, walking, water sports, tennis, going out to listen to live music, learning about culture and events.
People always say, I look "very Mexican" but was not raised with my culture/heritage so am not a native speaker but most people have always assumed I fluently speak Spanish. So I need to become fluent :-)
I am a 4th gen Mexican-American, never spoke Spanish at home and Love travel to Mexico. I have tried classes and have limited Spanish but need to practice to become fluent.
