WordPress 3.5 was released on December 11, 2012. There are lots of exciting new features in WordPress 3.5 including a totally overhauled image and gallery process, the ability to drag and drop multiple images, a streamlined and refined user experience, and a gorgeous new default theme - Twenty Twelve.
We are honored to have Konstantin Obenland, Theme Wrangler at Automattic, presenting. Konstantin is a core contributor to WordPress 3.4/3.5 and is a member of the WordPress Theme Review team.
After we're all abuzz with the new 3.5 and theme developments, we'll turn the meetup over to you for a show and tell session. Have you got a killer WordPress site you'd like to share with the group? Figured out how to do something unique and fun with WordPress? Want to see what other people have done with WordPress? Want a chance to ask questions about how to do fun and inventive stuff with WordPress? This will be a great opportunity to see what kinds of things are possible with WordPress and to ask questions about how to get things done.
We'll be raffling off some great prizes at this meetup too!
Must be present to win.
Live Streaming & Video
We are once again going to attempt to live stream and record the meetup. This is a free service that we offer without guarantee. We'll call this our Alpha 0.2 attempt at getting our content and meetup happenings out to those of you who can't attend. We'll be streaming to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/socal-wp.
This is going to be a really exciting meetup - you won't want to miss out. Be sure to RSVP to save your seat.
Thank you to Kleverdog Coworking for a agreeing to host us.
