Panthers and Ponies 6

What is Panthers and Ponies? As some of you may know Panther Ridge also hosts several equestrian guests during the winter months. We are being given a unique opportunity to not only photograph the big cats of Panther Ridge, but the horses currently residing there as well. The owners of the horses don't have a set schedule, but if we are lucky we may be able to get some great action shots of the horses running and jumping.

The cost for this limited event is $45.00/pp via cash or check, which is tax deductible (checks can be made payable to Panther Ridge Conservation Center).
We will be meeting at 10am, and the tour is limited to a maximum of 10 people.

Since this is a new "event" I cannot tell you what to expect from the 'pony" portion, so I suggest bringing whatever equipment you think you may need. (Closeups may be an option).

Here is a link to a map from google with directions from 441 and Lake Worth Road.  http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?doflg=ptm&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=115212374069271044529.000490005e780bb9e9d82&ll=26.613239,-80.253325&spn=0.057092,0.086946&t=h&z=14

There will be a sign outside saying "Panther Ridge".  The gate will be closed most likely. Visitors just need to exit their vehicle, slide the gate open, then drive through, closing the gate once they are on the other side. It is important that the gate remain closed if it is closed when they arrive. The address is 14755 Palm Beach Point Blvd, Wellington, FL 33414 (The entrance is actually on S. Road. If your GPS takes you down Palm Beach Point, continue to S. Rd, and then go North. It will be directly on your right.

Equipment:
You may want to also bring a monopod, or tripod. If you have a long lens you may want to bring it as you will be shooting through chain-link fencing. Flashes can be used, unless it begins to agitate the animals.

Additional Info
Some people may want to bring bug spray, especially if it has rained recently. Contact me (Dan Bodenstein) through meetup.com if you have any questions.
If you are feeling extra generous, you can bring rolls of extra strength paper towel, they can always use it.
