Dinner with Friends at Agaves

Our member Cat has offered to host a special dinner at  Agaves Kitchen & Tequila Restaurant (gay owned/friendly). Who wants to join her? Agaves is known for their great Mexican dishes and Fresh Fruit Margaritas.
Four Courses paired with 4 Tequilla Drinks for $35: Special tickets are being sold by Cat's son Matt who is a lead server and trainer there. To reserve tickets, call[masked] and tell them Matt referred you.

More about the event:
Chef Abel Hernández will be continuing his delectable innovations at Agaves this month and on November 27th, Agaves will be hosting with him a very special 4 course pairing with none other than the exquisite Casamigos Tequila produced by actor George Clooney and restauranteur Rande Gerber.

Chef Hernández takes traditional Mexican cuisine and innovates each dish into a new and unique succulent sensation. Internationally sought for his creations, Chef Abel Hernández is a delegate of the prestigious Mexican cuisine at the CCGM or Cultural Conservatory for Mexican Gastronomy. He has taught and studied culinary arts around the world and is an internationally recognized important figure in the world of Gastronomy today. He is a dedicated professor at multiple universities and a contributor of unique menu creations around the World.

Casamigos (Spanish for house of friends) takes pride in the painstaking fermentation process, which takes 80 hours to complete (double the industry standards), using the bagasse from the agave, a byproduct of tequila production that imbues this spirit with a richer, if more delicate, flavor. Originally intended for personal use, to be shared with family and friends, the brand is now distributed in 33 states by the country’s most important distributors: Southern Wine and Spirits of America, Glazer’s Distributors, and Republic National Distributing. Clooney told that before the launch date, 100% of the first year’s production was sold, and that he plans to donate the proceeds to his humanitarian work in Sudan. The label comes in the two basic tequila categories: Reposado and Blanco. Reposado is a sipping tequila that is aged for seven months in American white oak barrels, reconditioned after originally being used for premium-aged whiskey. It is smooth, clean and with a hint of caramel. Casamigos Blanco is crisp and clear with subtle hints of vanilla and distilled in old-style copper-lined pot stills. Both are ideal served neat or on the rocks, and the antidote to those bad margaritas we are all familiar with: sugary sweet, with subpart tequila that usually give us a horrible headache the next morning. - See more at:

I love Agaves not because my son works there but because I love their food! Every dish I have tried is delicious and their fresh fruit margaritas are made with premium tequilla and I do not get a headache from them. Their fresh garlic and rosemary fries are to die for.
