Join me this Friday afternoon as we do some more people watching - and sketching! Adding people to your urban drawings can give your sketches so much personality, but in reality, they can be tricky to capture. Do not despair! This session will help you loosen your hand and help teach you to add life 'literally' to your drawings.
Depending on weather, we will have the option to spy on some local street artists right outside the entrance or hang out inside and watch the crowds go by. For an additional challenge, you can even sit yourself at the upper level cafe and try drawing bird's-eye-view (drawing from above looking down).
So, let's meet inside the Pompidou right next to the south escalators (near the bookshop) so we can gather then strategize our session. I plan to talk a bit about techniques of drawing people, but if there's anything else you'd like me to touch on, please shoot me an email with your ideas. We will then disperse, draw, regather, then find a place to grab a drink and chat about our work.
Entrance is free (to the main lobby where we'll be sketching), but do allow for time to get through the line and have your bags checked. Please don't be late so you'll be able to find us.
As for media, bring whatever you feel most comfortable with. It is best to have a sketchbook that is easy to hold (with a hard back) while standing.
