Crowdsourcing Change and Founders Connect

  Crowdsourcing Change:  6:30 to 7:15pm
Founders Connect:  7:30 to ?

Where: Drexel University's Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship, 3225 Arch Street

Social Entrepreneurs of Greater Philadelphia has a great event planned for Wednesday June 15th.

We are going to start off with a Crowdsourcing Change/Fishbowl program, where a social entrepreneur will have a chance to present their start-up, along with their successes and challenges. Then you, the audience, will be able to provide feedback and suggestions in an open dialogue.  This is a great opportunity to learn and help.

Following this we will have a Founders Connect Program .

This is for:

  • Social entrepreneurs (or aspiring ones) looking for technical co-founders, team members, volunteers, and other people willing to join a team, work for delayed compensation, equity, or other arrangements.
  • Those looking for a meaningful opportunities to get involved with social entrepreneurs doing exciting and innovative work.

Everyone will have 90 seconds to explain either what type of opportunities they or looking for or help they are looking for.  This will be followed by plenty of time to make connections.

Best, Sam

I enjoyed the Meetup very much. Energy was great. I wanted to mention ... I read this article soon after the meetup and found it interesting as it related to Sean & Kates idea. One note from it: The charity - Walker Cancer Research Institute- spent exactly $487,505, or about 4% of its income, on research

Sam does a great job facilitating these meetings and making sure no one person dominates the discussion. Handing out the list of attendees before the meet and greet section was very helpful. I also liked the format of the meeting. It conducted in such a way as to be helpful to all who attended.

Sam, great meetup. Really enjoyed hearing about what others are up to and all the advice everyone had! Can't wait to see how it grows and evolves, putting a whole bunch of smart people together in a room is always a good thing. Please keep us posted on the Good Ventures Event, I'm looking forward to that as well.

Hey everyone - Sam - thanks for arranging the this meetup - clearly it attracted a group of people with similar interests and goals. Thanks to Kate and Sean for their presentation. I could not stay afterwards to meet with everyone, but I do think it was a worthwhile event. I look forward to other meetings in the future!

Great event, lots of bright ideas, and good connections. Maybe in future limit 90 sec pitches to first 10 people to sign up?

The meeting was extremely positive meeting people from all parts of the economic ecosystem. It's great to see so many people willing to lend their expertise for positive change in the society.

I may be out of state on business but would a friend of mine be able to go if they are not a member of this meetup? ([masked])
