I have eaten at this restaurant many times, and the quality of the food and presentation is outstanding. On Mondays, their three-course prix-fixe menu is 2-for-1, so instead of $36 per person, it works out to $18 per person (plus beverages, tax & gratuity).
Complete and total cost, if you don't order beverages, is $25 per person.
WHAT A GOOD DEAL. The food is magnificent. I cannot say enough good things about how tasty it was.
As with most prix-fixe menus, there are three options for appetizer, three for entree, and three for dessert. There are windows to watch the students in the kitchen preparing the luscious desserts, which is lots of fun in itself.
In order to make a reservation at this restaurant I have to guarantee it with my personal credit card, and if we don't have an even number of people, we end up paying more.
Therefore, I will be collecting $25 per person prior to the event (via PayPal or in person). Then you'll only have to pay for your beverages.
Receipt of your payment (whether in person or via PayPal) confirms your spot - in other words, once I receive your payment, I will change your RSVP to "yes."
The 2-for-1 option is offered every Monday, and I schedule this almost every month, so you will have other opportunities if you aren't sure you can make it this time.
Parking is free in the garage under the restaurant, and the location is transit-friendly (just at the entrance to Granville Island).

Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts was the first private training facility in Canada with a fine dining restaurant and bakeshop on the premises. Students in our Culinary Arts program operate the restaurant for the final portion of their training. "Real-world" experience ensures our students are prepared for placement in top restaurants and hotels worldwide. Under the direction of our Chef Instructors, students design and prepare a three-course menu weekly. To master all aspects of restaurant organization, our Restaurant Instructors guide students through formal guest service.
Our menus change weekly so that we are able to offer our guests a constant source of the freshest quality foods available, as well as a variety of seasonal choices.
Please note additional "event fee"/donation of a loonie per person, to help cover the meetup web site costs (a 1-month term as organizer costs me $19, and while I am willing to foot the bill, I would like to offset some of the cost). You can pay this in advance via PayPal if you would like.
