weekend getaway

Would you like a weekend up the Indian Arm to do as you please? It's reasonably priced under $200 and someone else will be cooking and cleaning up after you! Rustic cabins with bunk beds are available as well as comfy lodge rooms and yurts at Camp Jubilee. We are a group of scrapbookers, knitters, quilters, card makers, painters and teachers welcoming everyone. There is a lounge with books, free wifi and big chairs for kicking back and putting your feet up. There is a fridge if you need to store additional snacks. We do usually have a baby or two joining us. We take a water taxi to our remote location on Friday around dinner time and return Sunday afternoon. There are lovely places to walk and explore nature as well as wild life. Many of us stay inside stamping and cutting paper and glueing the night away but there is plenty to do if you aren't feeling crafty as well. Bring a good book or movie and relax with or without your small loved ones. Invite a friend you can hang with if you like. Sometimes we just need a weekend to recharge our batteries!
October 4/5/6 2013
We meet & park in Deep Cove (NOrth Vancouver) where we load up the water taxi boat that will take us up the Indian Arm on a scenic 30 minute boat ride to beautiful and serene Camp Jubilee. It is situated right on the water, overlooking the Indian Arm. So restful and peaceful! We have a beautiful hall to scrapbook in, and stay in rustic, heated cabins, that sleep 10 on bunkbeds (top or bottom is your choice). Meals are included (snack Friday evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday). The boat will take us back at 2pm on Sunday.
We do have an optional workshop:
Evergreens Card Set
with Stampin' Up Instructor: Betty
Evergreens have long been a symbol of Christmas, but in this tutorial, you'll see how you can use this fantastic Christmas stamp set to make masculine and autumn cards, too! Plus, you'll learn how to take the texture to a whole new level with Core'dinations cardstock and stampin' sanding system!
8 cards for $20 (2 of each design) or 4 cards for $12
Please add this fee onto your retreat fee when sending your cheque, if you are wanting to take this workshop!
If you are interested in attending this Retreat, please email me, Dunja McCrae at dunja mccrae at hotmail dot com as soon as possible.
