I got an email about getting 10 "free" tickets to a Comedy Hypnosis show. Since I happen to be in town this week, I thought I'd bite. After talking to Gary (the hypnotist) I somehow ended up saying I'd get 25 people there... lol (Damn hypnotists!)
I'm not sure if that'll happen, but I'll be there and it should be a good time. If you search YouTube there's a few videos of Gary Conrad doing his stuff. Depending on how many people we get he said he'd guarantee having 1 or 2 from the group on stage.
I put the limit at 20, but (if for some reason it's hit) tickets are only $5 (and there's 2 drink minimum).
I'm also looking to create a group of people that can keep the Social Milwaukee torch lit in my absence (I'm moving back to Milwaukee in March/April). If this is something you might be interested in come out to the show (or shoot me an email ;) ).
Goal for Social Milwaukee
Because they're the only kind of goals I know how to set... my Big Hairy Audacious Goal for Social Milwaukee is:
Make Milwaukee the most Social Connected city in the world known universe.
I have a plan and everything. :)
- Create a Social Milwaukee tribe with clear core values and "noble cause" as laid out in the book Tribal Leadership [Free Audio Book].
- Master and teach the art of building tribes that build tribes
- PROFIT!! (I couldn't help myself...)
The technology is everywhere to make it happen, what's missing is the knowledge. Churches, schools, nonprofits, alderman, businesses, etc. could all be doing some super cool stuff and... they're not (yet, we'll show them).
I want this group to be less about social media and more about establishing real social connections through various forms of media (on and offline).
This conversation will probably flow into my Friday night casual beer drinking event. If you like to drink beers (casually) shoot me a message and I'll shoot you the details.
Happy New Year!
