This was a last minute post, and my thoughts and prayers continue to be out pouring to those affected, I think the Boston Marathon is such an iconic event and even if we were not there personally it was something that could have been any one of us. Boston Strong!! inspite of such a gross catastrophe .

There is a memorial service at BU George Shermon Union Ballroom (Metcalf Hall ), 775 Commonwealth Ave. at 7:00PM today to celebrate the life of LU, Lingzi, a graduate student of BU GRS’14 who was killed in the bombing blast. "We will remember her and everything good that a bright, ambitious, and engaging student represents in our community, and, hopefully, speak about the values that make our community strong, even under such terrible circumstances." BU President Bob Brown addressed in his message. The service, which will be streamed live on BU Today (www.BU.edu/today), is open to the public; seating is limited and is first-come, first-served. As many of you may know, Danling Zhou, (MET’14), another BU graduate student in actuarial sciences, one of LU’s closest friends, was seriously injured in the horrifying incident.

It was at 2:50 on April 15. The turning point when we went from treating runners with dehydration and cramps to treating bombing victims. Horrific scene. Wish I could make the visions go away.
