Let's meet for an evening of classical music on the Esplanade on Wednesday nights, all summer long! People bring their blankets or chairs, food, wine, and families to sit on the lawn on summer evenings to listen to classics and occasionally new works. The Landmarks Orchestra is generally good, occasionally excellent, and the venue is, well, FREE.
For tonight's program, the Boston Lyric Opera will perform selections from such classics Mozart's The Magic Flute and Verdi's Rigoletto. Come out and enjoy the music under the open sky!

I normally schedule these events for 6:30pm, but the Opera concerts fill the place to capacity, so I'm scheduling for 6:15. I have a giant 12'x24' blue tarp I will lay out, and will have my meetup button on. (I have to get there by 6, or there is no space available for the tarp, so if you want to come earlier, that's fine too.) Seating space will be first-come-first sit, as it were, and latecomers may have to find their own nearby spot. Be forewarned: The orchestra gets started right at 7pm, so don't be late!
The program for this evening's concert will include:
- The Magic Flute (Mozart)
