Dance Mob Extravaganza-- Cambridge

Parking-- streets closed off for 3 blocks in Central Square center -- see info
THIS IS GOING TO BE A PARTY! Here are all the photos from last year!

If it rains, come dance between the rain drops or do umbrella dance manuevers.

If there is no rain forecast for today,  join us for a pre-dance mini-Pub Crawl at 5:15 starting & ending at The Field.

This was absolutely magical last year -- a great free for all dance festival, kind of like a dream.

We meet at 7:30 to introduce each other at the Field, that is your Meetup opportunity! The Field also has a popular off-street patio! We won't be dancin' until around 8:30, when we admire the light displays at City Hall at dusk.
Sunset is at 8:25 so if you don't go to City Hall you'll miss a good part of the light show.

After we start dancin' it'll be very hard to find the group/ stay together.

FLASHING BIKE LITES ENCOURAGED, it really helps to add to the atmosphere. The whole Square seems to move to the beat which ricochets all over the place in a kind of very cool laid back thudding way.

Hey! Due to this huge block party streets will be blocked off after 6 PM for 3 blocks near City Hall, so lots will be at capacity. So take the T! Red Line to Central Sq. or the number 1 bus from Boston. Or park at a different T stop and "T" it to Central.

NOTE! Event ends at 11 PM sharp. Last year that's when it had become packed & nobody wanted to leave, so be prepared. MBTA: Red Line

I (co-host) will be wearing a Crocodile Dundee hat & later a shiny blue wig. Any problem just go up to a cluster of people and ask if it is the Meetup. If it is, good, if not, they'll ask you what a Meetup is and you'll get a conversation started anyway.
