Camping & Games

I decided to have our first camping & games meetup.

I know Harold Parker State Park is local to people who live north of Boston. Since this isn't far for most people, we will have a good crowd.

This campsite is a group site so we can fit up to 40 campers.

Also, I will only charge $5 person for the weekend so I can cover the expense of the campsite.

Please join us for a great time.

I am still a bit up in the air about getting there,( Harold Parker) 6/21-6/24. If I become more sure of my inability to attend I will change my RSVP.

The address is 133 Jenkins rd, Andover, MA. It is best to use your GPS or google maps to find the campground. Plus, there is a sign on Jenkins rd.

Woo, thank you, Christopher, for organizing this, wish I could be there for the entire weekend. Maybe I can still make it in on Friday night, but Sat night for sure. Should everyone brings own tent, or share tents to save space?

    June 18, 2013

    • Christopher B.

If you have a tent, I recommend bringing one. I'm not sure of how much space there is on the campsite but we can share tents if there isn't enough space.

I have not RSVP'd yet. I will know for sure by Wednesday. I have 1 extra 3 person tent for someone if needed.

    Hello everyone,
I'm thinking that everyone should bring their own food plus a little bit to share.
I am bringing a camping grill that I'm willing to share.

    June 18, 2013

  • Christopher B.

    Hello everyone,
It looks like I need everyone's full name in order to pre-register for the campsite. Can you please email at [masked] with your full name and I will email you my phone # in case you need to contact me. By the way, there is only one group site.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thanks,
    Christopher Brown

    May 15, 2013

    • Sabrina P.

Hi Pat, I tried emailing you via email privately , I've not yet heard back yet, is everything still a go for me and my two friends to carpool this Friday? Thanks :)

    • Christopher B.

Hi Sabrina, I might be able to pick you and your friends up at the Reading commuter rail(Haverhill line) if you're willing to take the commuter rail. Let me know what time you were thinking about coming up. Thanks, Chris

Hey Nancy - How have you been?

      June 16, 2013

  • Not Your Average J.

I see alot of beautiful women willing to share a tent - I am tempted to buy a new one large enough for all of us...

Hi-I have never done anything with this group, but this sounds like fun! Is it OK if I do the same as Amel? Since I don't have any camping equipment yet, I will come over after work and for the evening and then drive home (I live in Salem). If that's OK-I'd LOVE to come and see what I would need to join you in the future.

    June 15, 2013

    • Christopher B.

      Hi Diane,
That's fine if you stop over after work.
I will be sending out a group email either tonight or tomorrow asking who's coming and when.
      Chris

    May 12, 2013

    • Christopher B.

I'll check this week to see if I have an extra tent.

      May 13, 2013

    • Christopher B.

Hi Karen, I don't think I have an extra tent. I will find out if you can share a tent with another female.

I live nearby, would it be okay to swing by in the eve to socialize around the campfire?

    May 29, 2013

    • Christopher B.

Amel, it should be fine to swing by in the evening.

Not a fan of sleeping in a tent but I like the campfire, and the outdoor activities part. I am willing to bring the smores ingredients for night time and the boxes of Joe in the mornings in exchange for letting me sleep in my bed! Lol

Oh, no! … Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at Herald Parker and all state campgrounds. This could be a deal breaker for me. http://www.mass.gov/dcr/recreate/campInfo/camprules.htm

I know they say no drinking on the grounds but if you are discrete about it then they won't bother you.

Hi, Do you have to have your own tent?

    January 16, 2013

    • Christopher B.

You could either borrow a tent from someone or share a tent. I'm sure if you ask around then someone might have a tent you can borrow.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
