Young Winemakers of Oregon Tour

Experience the new age of Oregon wine in the third leg of the Young Winemakers of Oregon Tour. The Young Winemakers of Oregon Tour is a reoccurring tasting event showcasing fresh Oregon winemaking talent.

Saturday, September 15th, 5-8 pm
Corkscrew Wine Bar in SE Portland
8 wines (2 from each winery), $10 (waived with case purchase)

The night will feature four popular new wine brands from across the state:

A.F. Nichols Wines – As a young winemaker, Alex has already been termed by Northwest Wine Anthem as “…Already crafting Willamette Valley Pinot Noir that leads one to believe that when it comes to his winemaking style, he’s an old soul.” Alex has teamed up with his wife, Aubrey, to craft elegant wines reminiscent of what the Willamette Valley founding members were making 25 plus years

Alchemy Wine Productions – Nic and Gracey Donahue, two free-spirited individuals, have been making wine since 2004. The couple started in Santa Barbara and grew slowly with a focus towards Rhone varietals. They relocated to Portland and moved into a charming industrial space in SE. They look forward to sharing vineyard designate Syrah’s and Grenache’s sourced from all corners of Oregon and Washington as well as a little Pinot Noir.

Division Winemaking Company – Tom and Kate might have caught the wine “itch” in different ways- his in college, hers at her family’s home in the Loire Valley of France-but they are both committed to producing wines of balance and nuance. The two completed a viticulture and enology program in the vineyards and wineries of Burgundy, Beaujolais and the Northern Rhone. They continued their adventure by moving to Oregon and putting down roots by purchasing a home on Division Street in SE Portland. Division represents the two sides of wine growing; vineyard farming and wine making. Finally, Division is the two people who strive to bring their creativity, ideals and love of wine.

God King Slave Wines - At 25 and 28 years old, Christine Collier & Chris Jiron are bringing new energy to the Southern Oregon wine region with their mission to “Create like a God. Command like a King. Work like a Slave.” Intrigued by the quality of fruit, diversity of varietals and getting in on the ground floor, the two have committed themselves to creating a world-class wine region out of their rugged backyard. With a Syrah-Tempranillo blend and Sauvignon Blanc, their soulful wines bring the perfect blend of creativity and complexity.
