19:00-19:30 Mario Herger, 'Design Thinking and the Popcorn Model of Innovation'. Companies like Apple, Google, or Tesla have demonstrated that great design and bold ideas can lead to disruptive innovation and change the way people use technologies, apply new business models, and interact with others. Understand why companies like Blackberry, Nokia or Kodak disappeared and how you can avoid the same fate.

While many consider design and innovation an art, they are a craft that can be learned. Innovation and design techniques lead you to a structured approach of new technologies, business models, and services. Learn also how your whole organization can make innovation and design successful.

19:30-20:00 Rafael Mizrahi, CEO, Feng-GUI - 'Innovation & Creativity - The Smart and The Useless'

Rafael is a multi-disciplinary entrepreneur and a passionate researcher of the aesthetics of visuals and sound. He seeks to find the mathematics and logic which explain what pleases our eyes and ears.

Rafael is the co-founder and CEO of , an artificial intelligence service which empower designers and advertisers to effectively analyze attention and attraction in visuals. Feng-GUI visual attention services  are used by 30,000 professionals and 1,500 clients around the world, including prominent firms such as: WSI, Bruce CLay, McCann Erickson,  Publicis, OgilvyOne and JWT.

In early 2006, Rafael co-founded the ,a non profit organization for creative people to meet, innovate and build noncommercial projects that would otherwise not come to life. GarageGeeks has grown to be Israel’s biggest “underground” organizations and its community consists of more than 8,500 members.

Rafael organizes and participates in innovation and creativity events and likes to hack musical instruments, games and gadgets, and reassemble them while adding a new twist of experience factor.

20:00-20:15 - Break

20:15-20:45 - Dr. Jacob Greenshpan: 'Some thoughts about boxes, gravity and anti-gravity solutions in user experience design': Sometimes, it looks as if the force of gravity inside the box, in which I design my user experience is really powerful. Don’t believe me? Here are a few examples: MS-Word is a sheet of paper, you write on; your electronic mail has envelops; and I keep on smashing candies with my finger. Yes, unfortunately, the human race has fixations, when it comes to user experience design. So how do we get out of the box? Well, if you want to know that, you will have to attend my lecture. Can’t promise one magic solution, but I’d love to share some ideas with you!

Jacob is a UX Designer. 20 years of experience. Dreamer. Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology. Entrepreneur. Creative. Thinker. Strategy. Expert. Writing a book. Different. Technion lecturer.

20:45-23:00 Open Jam Session: Are you a musician? Bring your own ax or just play with our instruments. Can't play? Join us for a drink.

Hope to see you all,

Keren and the Team
