Jim has successfully founded, grown and exited from several technology and media-related companies including those involved in client – server computing, clinical research, (specifically in the Phase 1, 2 and 3 drug research), integrated voice response, mobile telephony applications (iPhone and Blackberry applications), and more.
Jim is a true believer in the free enterprise system and is a champion of entrepreneurial spirit. Jim has been actively involved in the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Program, the Kaufman Entrepreneurial Leadership Council and numerous civic organizations promoting entrepreneurial success.
As International Vice President of Tallgrass Technologies, a manufacturer of products for the PC industry, Jim negotiated distribution, joint-venture and technology-transfer agreements around the world.
Recognized several times by Ernst & Young Fast Track Entrepreneurial program and quoted in the New York Times, Jim’s companies have had national recognition.
Jim is passionate about the success of others. As CEO of AmeriStart, a contract business development company, many European, Indian, and Austral-Asian companies have benefited from Jim's sales and marketing expertise, growing their revenues from -0- to multi-millions of dollars per year in the North American market.
With a degree in International Marketing from Miami University, Jim has held management and marketing positions in Ghana, the Caribbean, The Netherlands, and the United States.
