We've been running a recreational league for the past several years, and we're always looking for men and women of ALL ages and skill levels from DC, MD and VA to join us.
Once you sign up, we'll assign you to a team and provide a schedule of games, including playoffs. But since this is Meetup, you're not obligated to show up for every game.
Just bring $6/week to cover balls, umpires etc. (and an extra $4 the first week for a team t-shirt). Alternatively, you can sign up for $65 as our discounted one-time fee.

ROSTERS: After taking several hours to figure out the best fit for each team, based on individual preferences, returning players, skill levels, gender, positions, chemistry etc., all of the team rosters have been set for "Opening Day". Please continue to RSVP each week, however, so that rosters can be adjusted as needed in order to keep everything balanced, and we'll make sure that all teams always have enough players.

SCHEDULE: Game times could range anywhere from 3:30pm-6:00pm since it's the first week of the season and we'll be needing extra time this week for signing players in, taking t-shirt sizes, collecting league fees, and reviewing rules. So please keep your afternoon plans flexible for that day. And by Wed. or Thurs., we should be releasing the schedule on meetup.com, indicating the actual game time for each team.
PAYMENT: With six teams in the league this spring/summer, we expect to run a ten game regular season, plus playoffs. As always, registration for the entire season, including field permits, referees, t-shirts and balls/equipment is $65/player, payable to "NAA Inc." or in cash before the start of the first game. Alternatively, it's $6/player in cash per week, plus an additional $4 for ordering the team t-shirt/uniform for all first-time players. Registering for the entire season is strongly encouraged as it's much more convenient for everyone involved AND you will save approx. $20 by doing so.
EQUIPMENT: We provide bats and balls although players may bring their own slow pitch bats. Gloves are also required, but for anyone who doesn't have one yet, opposing teammates are always willing to share as this is a fun, friendly group.
LOCATION: Jefferson Manor Park is on Telegraph Rd., near Franconia Rd. It's just off 495 and only a couple blocks from the Huntington Ave. Metro with plenty of free parking on-site.
RULES: League rules are available for review at www.recleagues.com. And in the event of inclement weather, the cancellation line is 703/851-3332. Should we have to re-schedule games, there will be a voice recording posted there one hour before game time. Also, cancellation info. will be updated to our meetup.com page whenever possible.
Please keep in mind that Fairfax County prohibits any smoking or alcohol. However, we've worked out a deal with Union Jack's in Arlington this season for post-game food and drink specials. This gives everyone a chance to socialize after the games, and it's just 20 min. away by car AND Metro-accessible!!!
