Architect Camp 3 - Bring a Friend or Colleague

Good architects Practice,Practice,Practice. A whole day architecting a system. Interview, Design, Validate. up to 30 people 6 teams, one objective... to become better at our craft. Java, .Net python....who cares... all welcome, just leave your ego's at the door.

Summary of event

The purpose is to allow software architects to practice their craft. This is where you will make mistakes so please leave your egos at the door.

Attendees will be broken into teams to form fictitious software companies tendering their solutions to client requests. I would suggest to work in separate teams to collogues or friends as this often distracts or gives an unfair advantage.

From all the attendees we will choose a real scenario to ensure the domain knowledge is correct.

The chosen attendee will be the customer who has a need for a software solution to assist in its growth. You, as part of your team must work together to produce a solution, which fits their needs both now and into the future.

You will have the opportunity to interview the companies product owner and deliver your solution at the end of the day. You will be judged by myself and the other teams who will validate your solution against the needs of the customer

The Agenda

10:00 Introductions. Form the teams. 10:30 Interview Product Owner 11:00 Order food and start your challenge 15:00 Presentations 16:00 Review the Day 17:00 Close (May be a little late here)
Check List

Another excellent session. This is the best meetup for learning about how to create great software architecture - these sessions are excellent
