Hey there party-goers,

After we all meetup on Thursday, I think you should checkout a Solar Hackathon which is happening this weekend up in Oakland.

Didn't I say something back in our first meeting in February about how "there are so many damn web 2.0 hackathons but I have never seen a solar hackathon"? Well, now I get to eat crow. Here are the details for the event... I plan to be there on Friday evening but likely won't be able to work throughout the whole weekend :(

The Solar Hackathon starts on Friday, so we only have 4 more days! In this last week we are taking out all the stops and pushing to get as many participants as possible. Please tell your colleagues, employees, friends, and anyone else who might be interested. Help us spread the word! Help us hack solar!

$4000 dollars in cash prizes
Developers, Creators, and Entrepreneurs network into teams to address a solar energy problem using IT
Teams work with experienced coaches to bring their idea from conception to prototype in a two day competition
Winning teams own the intellectual property they develop and have access to venture capitalists and other high profile attendees
Food, drinks, workstations, and lounge provided 24 hours/day throughout the weekend and each participant receives an event t-shirt
