Phil McMinn from Sheffield University Computer Sciences Department :Automatic Test Case Generation
By automatically generating tests we can systematically coverbehaviours and aspects of a system that may normally be missed, as well as relieving the tester of some of the burden of having tomanually create input sequences and test scenarios. In this talk Iwill introduce some prototypes tools and approaches under development, including tools that automatically generate JUnit test suites and database states, and the exposure of worst-case non-functional behaviours – such as execution time.
Daley Chetwynd from Thoughtworks on "Coypu - Acceptance testing for .NET"
"Modern software development requires full-featured acceptance test tools to ensure that the customer is being provided with the required functionality. Coypu is a .NET implementation of the popular Capybara tool for Ruby and provides a Domain Specific Language for readable acceptance tests in web applications"
Also planning further afield for Event 5, which will be on or around the last week in September we are planning a live testing session, that Daniel Shooter-Smith will be facilitating, this will follow a similar format as does the Weekend Testing Sessions.
