Ice Skating at Lloyd Center ... then Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream!

In the SolSeed symbolic year, winter represents pre-Ediacaran time.  At the mid-point of winter we celebrate SnowBall Earth, when most and perhaps all of the world was covered in ice and yet somewhere life survived, thrived and complex communities of multicelular life forms came into existence possibly around deep ocean volcanic vents where hot meets cold.  We celebrate life's ability to turn adversity into oportunity.  We celebrate by skating  and then eating foods that combine hot and cold like deep-fried ice cream and hot chocolate with whip cream.  This year we are heading back to the Seed Village for hot chocolate with whipped cream and snacks!

$6.50 for admission

$3.50 for skate rental

The last time I went skating I got beat up pretty good as well. I kept catching that blasted toe pick on the front of my skates and slamming down onto the ice! Does 5:15 for the hot chocolate part at 1824 SE Oak St. work for you guys?

The last time I went skating I fell and bruised my knees badly, and my husband doesn't know how to skate. But we'd be into the hot chocolate part ;-)
