Will someone be able to teach me? I've never knitted. My grandmother taught me crochet as a girl but I haven't done it in years.

Hi, Michelle! And welcome!! We do help one another if we can, but none of us is actually a teacher. We used to try it, but the people we worked with never came back. I guess we're not very good at it. Most of us taught ourselves by using Youtube or a learn-to-knit book from the library. One person used a child's book of this sort and does quite well. I'm partial to Youtube and use one of two people there mostly -- New Stitch a Day and Verypink. These folks are very organized, and their videos are quite clear. And I love using videos because I can stop and start or replay them until I finally get the hang of what I'm trying to learn.
I wish there was some meetings on Saturday, I work on Tuesdays.

It'll be so nice to see everyone again!!
Knitters, Crocheters or Crafters: Come join our social gathering to just have someone to talk to while creating your yarn masterpieces or flops. No judgments. It's just fun to see what others are working on and to share. All levels are welcome.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
