Come and sing.

  • May 20, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Open to the public and is FREE.  Bring guitars, etc. or just a singing voice – or just a listening ear if you do not want to sing.

We meet on the third Tuesday of each month.

Please tell anyone who may be interested.  Word-of-mouth may be our best way to spread the word.

We will sing mostly folk-type songs from the 1200-song book Rise Up Singing which has songs from the likes of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Ian & Silvia, Bill Stains, PP&M . . . right up through the Beatles, and even some show tunes.

Books available to borrow.  Guitar players wanted.

We sit in a circle and go aroundeach person in turn can suggest a song for us all to sing together & lead it, ask someone else to lead it, or pass.  Larry Sarner has his guitar, knows & can lead many of the songs.   We are not performing for each other, nor rehearsing for a performance; we sing together.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
